An Adversary Proceeding is a lawsuit filed in bankruptcy court and related to the debtor's bankruptcy case.  Examples include complaints to determine whether a debt is dischargeable, complaints to determine the nature extent and validity of a lien against property, and complaints against creditors for violation of the automatic stay or the discharge injunction.
