The process by which a court approves the debtor's plan of debt repayment in chapter 11, 12 and 13 is called the confirmation process.  Once confirmed, the plan replaces the original terms between the debtor and the creditors with the terms of the plan.

If a creditor or the trustee objects to a plan, that person usually files a document in objection to the confirmation of the debtor's plan.  A plan cannot be confirmed until the court resolves all objections by either overruling the objection or by requiring the debtor to change the plan.
